HAM-JAM 2024 will be an afternoon of food, fun, and excitement as downtown Effingham is treated to stunts, contests and live music from The Troubadours and Loose Lips, featuring Effingham’s own Myles Baker.
We are actively accepting Hometown Throwdown teams, food and non-food vendors, volunteers, and sponsors.

Visitors will be able to move around the event area with the beverages purchased at the Beer & Wine Tent.

Hometown Throwdown Amateur BBQ Challenge
(Jefferson Ave between 3rd & 4th St.)
The EffingHAM-JAM Hometown Throwdown invites amateur pit masters from all over the area to show off their skills and compete for prizes in several different BBQ categories. Blind judging by local community reps, Hometown Throwdown sponsors, and KCBS professional judges.

This local skate competition will feature some of the most talented skaters from around the Midwest. Ham City Jam is organized by local skateboard enthusiast Deano Tull.

Bring your kids downtown to experience some big things in Effingham on HAM-JAM night! JT's Tree Service will have their monster truck on site, plus a City of Effingham firetruck. There might even be a safari jeep! Stay tuned!
